About This Specialisation

Assam Don Bosco University (CDOE) is a private university in Guwahati, Assam, operating under the globally recognized Don Bosco/Salesian educational network. The Salesian order runs more than 1,500 educational institutions across 130+ countries. ADB holds NAAC A accreditation and UGC-DEB approval for its online programmes.

The Supply Chain Management specialisation focuses on logistics management, procurement, inventory optimization, and distribution network design. These skills apply across manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, FMCG, and pharmaceutical supply chains.

Startup Management appears as a common Sem 3 core subject across all ADB MBA specialisations. For supply chain professionals, this builds skills in designing supply chains from scratch for new ventures, managing supplier relationships in early-stage companies, and building distribution networks with limited resources.

Northeast India faces unique supply chain challenges. Geographic terrain, limited rail connectivity, border trade with Bangladesh and Myanmar, and seasonal disruptions create demand for supply chain professionals who understand the regional logistics landscape. ADB's Guwahati location sits at the gateway to NE India's supply chain network.

EdifyEdu verifies data independently and takes no commission from any university.

Student Reviews — Supply Chain Management

Three reviews from ADB Online MBA Supply Chain Management students. Ratings reflect individual experience.

RajdeepGuwahati · 2024

I work in tea industry logistics in Assam, and ADB's supply chain MBA was the natural fit. The Don Bosco name is recognized across NE India and internationally. Procurement and distribution design concepts were directly applicable to my daily work. Startup Management helped me think about building a direct-to-consumer tea supply chain.

Liked: The Don Bosco educational heritage gives the degree credibility. Supply chain subjects are directly applicable to my logistics role in the tea industry

Disliked: Fee is not publicly listed. Had to contact admissions for the exact breakdown

MonikaItanagar · 2024

Arunachal Pradesh faces serious supply chain challenges due to terrain and connectivity. ADB's MBA gave me frameworks to think about these problems systematically. Logistics management and distribution network design subjects were directly relevant. The university's Guwahati location means they understand NE India's supply chain reality.

Liked: NE India's only NAAC A university offering online MBA in Supply Chain Management. Inventory optimization and logistics planning subjects addressed regional challenges

Disliked: Some study materials could include more NE India supply chain case studies. Faculty response time varies

TanmoySiliguri · 2023

The supply chain curriculum covers logistics, procurement, inventory, and distribution at a practical level. The content is functional. The main limitation is brand recognition beyond the Northeast. In NE India, Don Bosco is respected. Nationally, the brand is still building. For supply chain roles in the region, ADB is a reasonable choice.

Liked: Procurement and vendor management concepts were applicable to my e-commerce fulfillment centre role

Disliked: Brand recognition outside NE India is limited. The LMS could be more modern
