OPENMAT is a hard gate with no alternate route. Unlike most private online MBAs that admit on graduation marks alone, IGNOU MBA requires clearing OPENMAT. Students who fail cannot enrol regardless of their graduation percentage. Prepare at least 4-6 weeks in advance using IGNOUs official guidebook.

The provisional certificate is issued faster and accepted by most employers, but delays in the final document are a recurring well-documented complaint.
