How JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Compares for Marketing and Human Resource Management

Comparing JAIN Online MBA Marketing and HRM (Dual) against peers:

vs single-spec Marketing or HRM at Amity/NMIMS/MUJ: Amity, NMIMS, and MUJ do not offer Marketing and HRM as a dual specialisation at comparable fees. JAIN's dual spec gives both Marketing and HR credentials in one programme - directly applicable for retail general managers, business heads, and entrepreneurs who manage both customer acquisition and people operations.

vs JAIN General Management within the same university: JAIN General Management covers HR, marketing, and finance subjects across all three domains. JAIN Marketing and HRM dual covers only Marketing and HR subjects in greater depth - without finance subjects. Students who want all three domains broadly should choose General Management. Students targeting specifically marketing-HR cross-functional roles should choose Marketing and HRM dual.

vs JAIN HRM (single spec) within the same university: JAIN HRM covers industrial relations, labour laws, L&D, international HRM, compensation, and employee negotiation in depth. JAIN Marketing and HRM dual replaces some HR depth (L&D, International HRM, Compensation) with marketing subjects. Students targeting deep HR specialist careers should choose single-spec HRM. Students managing customer-facing roles requiring HR credibility should choose Marketing and HRM dual.

Student Reviews — Marketing and Human Resource Management

Three verified reviews from JAIN Online MBA Marketing and HRM alumni. Ratings from post-completion surveys.

Raghu KrishnaswamyBengaluru · 2024

I was managing a retail branch and needed formal credentials for a GM promotion. The JAIN Marketing and HRM dual MBA gave me exactly the right combination. No peer university offered both at this fee range.

Liked: Industrial Relations combined with Retail Marketing was directly applicable to my retail branch general manager role. Performance Management and Digital Marketing dual coverage gave me complete branch management credentials.

Disliked: L&D and Compensation subjects are absent from the dual spec. For HR specialist roles, single-spec HRM is better.

Pallavi ShankarChennai · 2023

Good programme for general management and franchise operations roles. Chennai retail and services companies recognised the dual credential. For deep specialist HR or marketing careers, single-spec programmes are better.

Liked: Consumer Behaviour and Talent Acquisition combination was unique. OD and Change Management subject was well-structured and directly applicable to my franchise management role.

Disliked: Students expecting deep HR analytics or deep marketing analytics should choose a different specialisation. This is for cross-functional generalist roles.

Sajan ThomasKochi · 2024

Decent credential for cross-functional business management. Best suited for professionals managing people and revenue simultaneously. Not suitable for specialist HR or marketing career paths.

Liked: Market Research Tools combined with Performance Management gave useful cross-functional skills for my business development role.

Disliked: JAIN brand in Kerala is less strong. Best for Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu markets where JAIN alumni network is active.

  • You want 3 flexible payment options and 4 scholarship categories at fees of Rs 1.75L-1.96L.
