Key Highlights
  • What is the total fee for the Bharati Vidyapeeth Online MBA?
  • Is the Bharati Vidyapeeth online MBA AICTE approved?
  • What is Bharati Vidyapeeth's NIRF rank?

Last updated 23 August 2026 by Rishi Kumar, Senior Education Researcher and Founder, EdifyEdu. Fee, eligibility and specialisation data verified against the official Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Online Education portal on 23 August 2026. Accreditation cross-checked against our internal NAAC, NIRF and AICTE records. EdifyEdu accepts no referral commission from any university.

Most pages about this programme quote Rs 1,60,000. The official Bharati Vidyapeeth page prints a different number, and once you add the two non-refundable charges it does not advertise loudly, the real figure is higher still.

The fee is worth getting right, because on approvals this is one of the stronger online MBAs in India, and that combination is rarer than the price suggests. Here is what the portal actually says.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Online MBA at a glance
  • Programme fee: Rs 1,76,000 tuition plus exam, per the official page

  • NAAC: A++ , CGPA 3.60, Cycle 4, valid to 8 November 2031
  • Approvals: UGC-DEB approved, AICTE listed, NBA accredited
  • NIRF: University rank 59. No Management rank
  • Specialisations: 14, including several almost nobody else offers online

Fee Structure 2026, and the Two Charges Nobody Mentions

The official programme page states Rs 1,76,000, described as tuition plus exam fees. Two more charges sit on top, and both are non-refundable: Rs 1,000 registration and Rs 1,000 admission.

So the number to budget against is Rs 1,78,000, not the Rs 1,60,000 that most listing pages repeat. Backlog exams cost Rs 400 per subject if you need them.

The Rs 1,60,000 figure appears on third-party listing pages. It does not appear on the university's own programme page. We do not link to those pages.

The Approval Stack Is the Real Story Here

This is where Bharati Vidyapeeth separates itself, and it is the reason to consider it over cheaper options.

The university is UGC-DEB approved for online delivery, its online programmes are AICTE listed, and it carries NBA accreditation. On top of that it holds NAAC A++ at CGPA 3.60, awarded in its fourth assessment cycle and valid to November 2031.

The AICTE point deserves weight. Plenty of online MBAs in this price band have UGC-DEB approval and nothing else. If your employer, a PSU recruitment rule or a government job notification asks for AICTE, an otherwise good degree can fail the screen. Here you have it.

Cycle 4 matters too, in a quieter way. A fourth-cycle A++ means the institution has been assessed four times over its history and held the top grade. That is a different signal from a first-cycle A++ at a younger university, even though both print the same two letters.

The NIRF Rank, and What It Does Not Cover

Bharati Vidyapeeth holds a NIRF University rank of 59 out of 200 ranked institutions. That is a genuine, checkable national rank, and it is more than many online MBA providers can show.

It is still not a business school ranking. The university holds no NIRF Management rank, and Management is the category that assesses business programmes specifically.

A University rank tells you about the institution. A Management rank tells you about the MBA. They are not interchangeable.

Use the number for what it is. Rank 59 says the wider institution is credible and independently measured. It does not say the online MBA has been assessed against other MBAs, because it has not been. Our explainer on NAAC grades covers the same reading problem on the accreditation side.

Which credentials Bharati Vidyapeeth actually holds Verified against NAAC, NIRF, AICTE and UGC-DEB records, August 2026. NAAC A++ CGPA 3.60, Cycle 4, valid to Nov 2031 UGC-DEB Approved for online delivery AICTE + NBA Listed and accredited. Rare at this price. NIRF University Rank 59 of 200. Institution-level, not MBA-level. NIRF Management Not ranked. This is the MBA-specific one.

Green means independently verified. Red means the credential is absent, whatever a listing page may imply.

Fourteen Specialisations, and the Ones That Are Actually Rare

The official page lists 14: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, International Business, Production and Operations, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Agribusiness, Retail, Project, Event, Hospitality, Sports, and Infrastructure.

The first seven are standard. The last seven are not, and that is the point of choosing this programme.

Sports Management is the standout. Very few Indian universities offer it as an online MBA specialisation at all, and on our own Bharati Vidyapeeth Sports Management page it draws more engagement per view than any other Bharati page we publish. If you work in a federation, an academy, a sports retail brand or event operations, that scarcity is the argument.

Hospitality, Agribusiness, Event Management and Infrastructure Management sit in the same bracket. Each maps to a sector that hires steadily and rarely gets a dedicated online MBA track. Read the syllabus papers before committing, because a rare specialisation only earns its place if the coursework goes past a generic core with a themed label attached.

Eligibility and Admission

The official page is specific. You need a graduate degree on the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university, with at least 50% in aggregate, or 45% for SC and ST candidates. The programme runs 24 months across 4 semesters.

No entrance exam is mentioned on the page. You can confirm the university's current approval status yourself on our Bharati Vidyapeeth verification page or directly at deb.ugc.ac.in.

Where It Falls Short

The fee disclosure is thin for the price. Rs 1,78,000 is upper-mid-market, yet the page publishes no per-semester split, no annual option, no scholarship categories and no EMI terms. The two non-refundable charges are easy to miss. For a programme this well accredited, that is an odd gap.

No Management ranking. Covered above. Against a business school that holds one, Bharati Vidyapeeth has to win on approvals and specialisation choice instead, and on those it can.

Placement data for online students is not published. The programme page makes no placement claim at all, which is more honest than a "100% placement assistance" banner, but it still leaves you without numbers. Ask specifically for online-cohort outcomes rather than campus figures, since the two are not the same population.

Who Should Apply and Who Should Not

APPLY IF Your employer or a government rule asks for AICTE. You have it here. You want Sports, Hospitality, Agribusiness or Infrastructure A fourth-cycle NAAC A++ institution matters to you Rs 1,78,000 fits, and you want approvals rather than a brand name You are in Maharashtra and value a Pune institution locally DO NOT APPLY IF You are screened on NIRF Management rank. There is none. Your budget was built on the Rs 1,60,000 figure you read You need published placement numbers before you commit You want a name that opens doors on recognition alone A standard Finance or Marketing MBA is all you need. Cheaper exists.

Decision matrix based on official portal data and verified accreditation records, August 2026.

Apply if you need the approvals

The clearest case for this programme is a candidate whose employer, sector or recruitment rule checks for AICTE alongside UGC-DEB. That combination narrows the field quickly at this price, and Bharati Vidyapeeth clears it with NBA accreditation on top.

Skip it if a standard specialisation is all you want

If you want a general Finance or Marketing MBA and nothing in the niche list appeals, you are paying for optionality you will not use. Compare against the cheaper end before deciding, including our Parul University online MBA review, which sits lower on price but has neither AICTE nor a University rank.

Final Word

Bharati Vidyapeeth is one of the better-approved online MBAs in India at any price, and clearly the best-approved in this band. UGC-DEB, AICTE, NBA and a fourth-cycle NAAC A++ is a stack most competitors cannot match, and NIRF University rank 59 gives the institution independent standing. For a candidate who will be screened on paperwork, that matters more than a marketing claim.

My reservation is the same one I have about most of this market. A university charging Rs 1,78,000 should publish its semester split, its EMI terms and its online placement outcomes without being asked. Until it does, treat the Rs 1,60,000 you see quoted elsewhere as wrong, budget for the real figure, and get everything confirmed in writing. Start with the full Bharati Vidyapeeth MBA breakdown, or the online MCA page if computing is your direction.

Frequently Asked Questions

The official programme page states Rs 1,76,000 for tuition plus exam fees. Registration of Rs 1,000 and admission of Rs 1,000 are charged on top and both are non-refundable, so the figure to budget against is Rs 1,78,000. Backlog exams cost Rs 400 per subject. Many listing sites quote Rs 1,60,000, which does not appear on the university's own page. Verify the current fee at bharatividyapeethonline.com before paying.

Yes. Bharati Vidyapeeth is a Deemed-to-be University and its online programmes are AICTE listed, alongside UGC-DEB approval for online delivery and NBA accreditation. This matters if your employer, a PSU recruitment rule or a government job notification asks for AICTE specifically, since many online MBAs in this price band carry UGC-DEB approval and nothing more.

Bharati Vidyapeeth holds a NIRF University rank of 59 out of 200 ranked institutions. It holds no NIRF Management rank, which is the category that assesses business programmes specifically. Treat the University rank as evidence the wider institution is credible, not as a ranking of the online MBA.

NAAC A++ at CGPA 3.60, awarded in the university's fourth assessment cycle and valid until 8 November 2031. A fourth-cycle A++ means the institution has been assessed four times and held the top grade, which is a different signal from a first-cycle A++ at a younger university.

Fourteen: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, International Business, Production and Operations, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Agribusiness, Retail, Project, Event, Hospitality, Sports and Infrastructure. The last seven are unusual for an Indian online MBA, and Sports Management in particular is offered by very few universities online.

A graduate degree on the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university with at least 50 percent in aggregate, or 45 percent for SC and ST candidates. The programme runs 24 months across four semesters. No entrance exam is mentioned on the official programme page.

No. The official programme page makes no placement claim, which is more honest than an unbacked guarantee but still leaves you without numbers. Ask admissions for online-cohort outcomes specifically, since campus placement figures cover a different student population and do not transfer to online learners.

They suit different candidates. Bharati Vidyapeeth costs more at Rs 1,78,000 all-in but carries AICTE listing, NBA accreditation and a NIRF University rank of 59. Parul is cheaper at Rs 1,50,000 with NAAC A++ but has no AICTE listing and no NIRF University or Management rank. If you will be screened on approvals, Bharati Vidyapeeth is the stronger paperwork. If price is the binding constraint, Parul is the cheaper credible option.
