LPU Online has run online degrees since November 2021, and its admission portal works in four steps. This guide covers each step, the documents to scan and the points to check before you pay, from LPU Online's own admission portal and FAQ.
Short answer: you apply for LPU Online at admission.lpuonline.com. You register and pay a non-refundable registration fee, fill in the application, upload scanned documents and pay the programme fee.
LPU then gives you provisional registration and LMS access, and confirms admission after document verification. On 4 November 2026 the portal showed "Admission Open 2027".
- Admission portal: admission.lpuonline.com
- Steps: register, apply and pay, provisional registration, document verification
- Registration fee: non-refundable and not part of the programme fee
- UGC-entitled online programmes, 2026-27: 13 register entries
- Admission helpline: 01824 520001, admissions@lpuonline.com
Where is the LPU Online admission portal?
The Apply Now button on lpuonline.com leads to admission.lpuonline.com. International applicants use a separate page on the same portal. On 4 November 2026 the portal headline read "Admission Open 2027", the form listed a session called "2026-2", and a countdown said admissions close on 1 April, without stating a year.
Confirm the closing date with the admissions team before you plan around it.
What are the steps in LPU Online admission?
- Register on the portal and pay the registration fee. The portal states that this fee is non-refundable and not part of the programme fee.
- Complete the application form, upload your documents and pay the programme fee. The portal accepts credit card, debit card, net banking and UPI or wallets.
- Get provisional registration and LMS access. LPU emails your login details for the learning management system.
- Document verification. The admissions team checks your documents, and admission is confirmed only after successful verification.
Provisional registration is not admission. LPU confirms your seat only after it has verified your documents.
Which documents does LPU Online ask for?
The admission portal lists these uploads. It asks for scans of the original documents, not photocopies, and the files must not be password-protected.
- Passport-size colour photograph and signature
- Qualification documents from Class 10 up to your highest qualification
- Diploma or degree certificate for graduation or post-graduation, where it applies
- Government-issued photo ID, and address proof if it differs from the ID
- Disability certificate, if applicable
- A scanned sample of your handwriting
The form also has fields for your ABC ID and DEB ID. Create your DEB ID on the UGC-DEB portal before you apply. Our explainer on the UGC-DEB ID shows how.
Who is eligible for LPU Online?
LPU Online's FAQ says eligibility for each programme is printed in the prospectus and on the website, and asks you to read it before filling in the form. You can email your documents to admissions@lpuonline.com or call 01824 520001 to check eligibility first.
- Age: no bar, according to the FAQ.
- Result awaited: you can apply, provided you submit the qualifying result by the last date the university sets.
