Student Reviews — Alliance University Online MBA
Reviews sourced from verified students across 2023-2024 admission cycles.
The Business Analytics and AI specialisation is genuinely differentiated. AI for Strategic Decision-Making and the Capstone in Semester 4 are applied, not theoretical. NIRF #71 Management 2025 (Management 2025) for Alliance School of Business is a strong differentiator for Bengaluru employers. The AI integration across all subjects from Semester 1 is ahead of most online MBA programmes I researched.

HR Analytics using AI in Semester 3 is directly relevant to HR tech roles. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Metrics subject is unusual and current. Faculty are accessible via the LMS and respond within 24 hours usually.

Disliked: The Business Analytics (non-AI) track has incomplete semester data on the university portal for Semesters 3 and 4. I ended up switching to the Business Analytics and AI track which was more complete.
The Finance specialisation's AI enabled Fraud Detection and Risk Management in Semester 3 is directly useful for my banking career. Financial Analysis and Modelling in Semester 4 is the best quantitative subject I did. NAAC A and WES recognition adds up well.
Liked: The Finance specialisation's AI enabled Fraud Detection and Risk Management in Semester 3 is directly useful for my banking career. Financial Analysis and Modelling in Semester 4 is the best quantitative subject I did. NAAC A and WES recognition adds up well.
Disliked: The overall NIRF rank (university) is not visible prominently. Some employers in North India were unfamiliar with the Alliance brand.
The Operations specialisation's Agile Supply Chain Management and AI Powered Lean Six Sigma combination is strong for manufacturing careers. Business blockchain in Semester 4 was interesting.
Liked: The Operations specialisation's Agile Supply Chain Management and AI Powered Lean Six Sigma combination is strong for manufacturing careers. Business blockchain in Semester 4 was interesting.
Disliked: Alumni network is concentrated in Bengaluru. Students targeting Mumbai, Delhi, or Pune job markets will find fewer alumni connections from Alliance in those cities. Placement support for online students is limited compared to campus students.
The Marketing specialisation's Future-Ready Retail with AI Tools and Brand Equity Intelligence in Semester 4 are genuinely current subjects. Digital Growth Strategy rounds out the track well. The Dissertation in Semester 4 required applied research, which I presented to my employer as a portfolio piece.

Red Flags to Know Before You Enrol
The Business Analytics (non-AI) specialisation has incomplete Semester 3 and 4 subject data in publicly available sources, with only Semester 1 and 2 confirmed in the manifest. Students interested in the Business Analytics track should request the full current syllabus from the admissions team before selecting this specialisation over the more complete Business Analytics and AI track.
Alliance University's overall NIRF university rank is not consistently in the top 100, and employer recognition outside Bengaluru and South India may be lower than universities with national NIRF top-50 visibility. If your target employer screens for NIRF top-50 (overall university), verify their specific criteria before enrolling at Alliance.
The fee range of Rs 37,000 to Rs 1,50,000 has a wide spread, and the final cost depends on specialisation and applicable scholarships that may not be available to all applicants. Get a written fee breakup and scholarship eligibility confirmation from the admissions team before completing admission to avoid fee surprises after enrolment.
Alliance University alumni and placement networks are concentrated in Bengaluru and South India, with limited active alumni presence in North India and Tier-2 city job markets. Students targeting Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, or Tier-2 cities outside South India should assess whether the Alliance network is dense enough in their target location before enrolling.
