Chandigarh University Online MBA in General Management: Syllabus, Fees & Career Outcomes 2026
MBA with General Management specialisation from Chandigarh University. UGC DEB approved. NAAC A+ accredited.
500+ students guided by EdifyEdu this year · Next batch: Jul 2026
About This Specialisation
General Management is chosen for two opposite reasons: because someone knows they want breadth, or because they cannot decide. Both are legitimate, and the second is more common than people admit.
The subjects are Corporate Strategy and Policy, Cross-Cultural Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Business Analytics for Managers.
The practical case for this label is that it narrows you least. A specialisation is a filter, and filters work both ways. If you expect to change function or sector in the next few years, breadth is worth more than depth in something you may leave.
CSR and Sustainability is the subject that has changed most in value recently. Sustainability reporting has moved from optional to contractual for anyone supplying large or listed customers.
Business Analytics for Managers gives you enough quantitative footing to work with analytics teams without needing to become one.
Two things are common to every Chandigarh specialisation and worth pricing separately from the subject list. AI for Managers appears in all of them, so the AI exposure is not unique to the technical tracks. And the programme runs in two tiers, where the higher tier bundles PwC co-taught modules and additional certification. Ask which tier your fee quote covers, because the subject list does not change between them.
Chandigarh University's NAAC A+ accreditation cycle carried a validity date of September 2026, so confirm the current grade at naac.gov.in before you rely on it.
Fees quoted here are indicative and change between intakes. Confirm the current figure, which tier it buys, the early-bird terms and what sits outside the tuition with the university in writing before you pay.

Skills You Develop
The outcome is being able to take a general management role and not be caught out by the function you know least.
Corporate Strategy and Policy covers competitive positioning, resource allocation and the portfolio decisions that sit above any single function. Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions adds the transaction dimension, including why most acquisitions fail to deliver what was promised.
Cross-Cultural Management covers working across geographies and the practical differences in how decisions get made, disagreement gets expressed and authority gets treated.
CSR and Sustainability covers reporting frameworks, supply chain standards and the governance side, which increasingly travels with a customer contract rather than sitting beside it.
Business Analytics for Managers covers framing questions for data and reading results critically. Entrepreneurship and Innovation covers opportunity assessment and running new initiatives inside an existing business.
How Chandigarh University Compares for General Management
Comparing Chandigarh Online MBA General Management against peer programmes:
vs NMIMS Online MBA Business Management: NMIMS Business Management at Rs 1,96,000-2,20,000 covers cross-functional management with a technology-forward orientation: cybersecurity basics, digital product design, AI concepts, and agile. NMIMS carries strong brand recognition in BFSI and Mumbai corporate hiring. CU General Management at Rs 1,65,000 Tier 1 is more affordable with PwC Management Consulting and M&A advisory content (Tier 2) that NMIMS’s programme does not offer at this co-teaching level.
vs JAIN Online MBA General Management: JAIN General Management at Rs 1,75,000-1,96,000 covers HR, marketing, and finance subjects in cross-functional breadth with Bengaluru ecosystem access. CU General Management differentiates through NIRF Management rank 32 (stronger rank), PwC co-teaching (Tier 2), Harvard Business Publishing certificate, and North India corporate hiring network. For Bengaluru IT sector general management tracks, JAIN is competitive.
vs Amity Online MBA across specialisations: Amity’s programme at Rs 2,25,000 with NIRF Management rank 49 covers management subjects across various specialisations. Amity does not offer a standalone General Management specialisation. CU’s dedicated General Management spec with Managerial Economics, Corporate Governance, Sustainability, and M&A subjects offers cross-functional breadth at Rs 1,65,000 Tier 1. PwC Strategy advisory co-teaching (Tier 2) adds consulting-grade content Amity’s programme does not provide at this level.
