NIU is not NIRF-ranked as of the latest 2025 NIRF filings. Some corporate HR systems filter out non-NIRF institutions. This is the single largest limitation for NIU. If your target employer uses NIRF rank as a hiring filter, a NIRF-ranked university is a better choice despite the higher fee.
NIU NAAC A accreditation (not A++) means some HR pre-screening filters at large corporates may exclude it. For government job applications and for smaller and mid-size employers, NAAC A is generally sufficient. Verify your specific employer's criteria before enrolling.
Brand recognition outside the NCR region and UP corridor is limited. Explaining the university in interviews is common. If you are targeting jobs outside NCR, Maharashtra, or Karnataka, supplement the degree with industry certifications to strengthen your application.
