I work in HR at a pharma manufacturing plant in Haridwar. The IR and labour law subjects were exactly what I needed for compliance and union management. UU brand is well-known in Uttarakhand industry circles. For manufacturing HR roles in the region, this MBA delivered what I needed at a price that made sense.
Liked: Industrial Relations and Labor Laws was the strongest subject. Directly applicable to my role at a manufacturing unit. The Rs 94,000 fee with NAAC A+ is outstanding value.
Disliked: No SHRM or HRCI certification alignment. If you need global HR certifications, you will have to pursue them separately.
If you work in North India's manufacturing or SME sector, UU HR is a solid credential. If you are targeting HR roles at IT majors or MNCs in metro cities, invest in LPU, Amity, or CU. The brand gap is real, even with NAAC A+. Good programme for the fee, but manage your brand expectations.
Liked: Performance and Compensation Management gave me frameworks I use daily in my C&B role. No-cost EMI was a genuine help.
Disliked: Brand recognition is weak in Gurgaon's IT corridor. HR managers at large IT companies did not recognise UU. I had to explain the NAAC A+ tag.
This MBA is for people who already have HR jobs and need the qualification. It is not a career-launch programme. I used it to move from HR executive to HR manager at my existing company. For that purpose, UU HR Management at Rs 94,000 was the right investment.
Liked: HRM Planning and Negotiation Process was well-taught. The semester fee of Rs 24,500 was genuinely manageable on a junior HR salary.
Disliked: Career services and placement support for online students are minimal. The university does not actively connect online MBA grads with recruiters.
