✦Key Highlights
  • ✓How do I apply for NMIMS online admission?
  • ✓What is the last date for NMIMS online admission?
  • ✓What is the eligibility for the NMIMS online MBA?

NMIMS runs its online degrees through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (NMIMS CDOE). It publishes exact admission dates, which most online universities do not. It also runs two calendars, and applicants who mix them up miss the MBA (WX) deadline by two months.

Short answer: you register at online.nmims.edu, upload your documents, pay the fee, and wait for NMIMS to confirm your admission and issue a student number. For the BBA, B.Com and MBA (Online), the last date of admission is 16 March 2027, and the no-late-fee window closes on 14 February 2027.

The MBA (WX) closes applications on 31 December 2026 and includes an interview.

  • MBA (WX): applications close 31 Dec 2026; interview; lectures from 25 Jan 2027

What are the steps in NMIMS online admission?

NMIMS CDOE sets out four steps on each programme page:

  1. Registration. Fill in the registration form at online.nmims.edu and pay the admission processing fee. NMIMS also collects an initial part of the programme fee at registration.
  2. Document submission. Upload gazette-attested copies of your academic documents, a photo ID and a passport-size photograph.
  3. Fee payment. Pay online, or by demand draft in favour of "SVKM's NMIMS" payable at Mumbai. Finance options are listed.
  4. Confirmation. After document approval, payment approval and student verification, NMIMS confirms your admission and issues a student number.

Your study kit, student portal and lectures start only after NMIMS confirms the admission. Payment alone does not make you a student.

You also need a DEB ID before enrolment. Our explainer on the UGC-DEB ID shows how to create one.

The MBA (WX), the MBA for working executives, runs on a separate and earlier calendar:

Do not plan an MBA (WX) application around March. The MBA (WX) closes applications on 31 December 2026, about ten weeks before the MBA (Online) last date. Confirm both calendars on online.nmims.edu, because NMIMS says its fee structure and schedule can change at the university's discretion.

These dates fit the January cycle that UGC allows for online programmes. Our explainer on UGC's January and July intakes explains the two-session rule.

What is the eligibility for each NMIMS online programme?

ProgrammeEligibility on NMIMS CDOE's pages
BBA, B.ComClass 12 (HSC) in any discipline, minimum 50% (45% for SC, ST, OBC, PwD)

For the 2026-27 July session, the UGC-DEB HEI programme register lists four online programmes at SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, a deemed university in Maharashtra: BBA, B.Com, MBA and MBA (Working Executive). Under Regulation 22 of the UGC ODL and Online Regulations, 2020, an entitled online degree is equivalent to the campus degree.

Our check of whether NMIMS Online is legit goes through the approvals in detail, and the NMIMS Online overview collects its accreditation data.

How do fees, refunds and exams work at NMIMS Online?

NMIMS CDOE lets you pay semester-wise, yearly or the whole programme at once, plus a one-time admission processing fee and an exam fee for each subject attempt. The amounts differ by programme, so read the current figures on the programme page.

NMIMS says it pays no referral fee or reward to anyone for referring students. Anyone who offers you a "referral discount" is not acting for the university.

Evaluation combines internal assessment with a term-end exam. For cancellations, NMIMS links its own terms and conditions from each fee section. Read them alongside our guide to the UGC fee refund policy before you pay a full-programme fee.

Is NMIMS Online the right choice for you?

Our NMIMS online MBA review covers the programme itself. If you are an experienced manager choosing between the MBA (WX) and other executive programmes, our online executive MBA guide compares the options. Applying to Amrita too? Our Amrita online application portal guide covers its process.
