How Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Compares for IT & Business Analytics

Comparing JIIT Online MBA IT and Business Analytics against peer programmes:

vs NMIMS Online MBA IT/Analytics: NMIMS at approximately ₹2,20,000 has stronger Mumbai recruiter network and legacy brand. JIIT at ₹1,82,000 saves ₹38,000. JIIT has blockchain, e-governance, and IT security as standalone subjects that NMIMS may not cover at this depth. JIIT's tech institute identity (Information Technology in the name) adds credibility for IT management roles.

vs Chandigarh University Online MBA Data Science and AI: CU at ₹1,65,000 with NIRF #19 and PwC co-teaching. CU wins on NIRF rank and fee. JIIT covers IT management (BPR/ERP, IT security, e-governance) alongside analytics, while CU focuses more narrowly on data science and AI. Choose CU for NIRF rank signalling. Choose JIIT for broader IT management + analytics combination.

vs MUJ Online MBA (no dedicated IT/BA spec): MUJ at approximately ₹1,80,000 offers Business Analytics as a standalone spec but not a combined IT and Business Analytics programme. JIIT's combined IT management + analytics curriculum with blockchain and e-governance depth is a differentiator for candidates targeting CIO-track or IT governance roles.

vs DPU Pune Online MBA IT Management: DPU at ₹1,89,400 with NIRF #41 and NAAC A++. DPU covers IT governance (COBIT/ITIL), ERP, and InfoSec but not predictive analytics, big data, or blockchain. JIIT at ₹1,82,000 covers both IT management and analytics at a lower fee. DPU wins on accreditation.

Student Reviews — IT & Business Analytics

Three reviews from JIIT Online MBA IT and Business Analytics students. Ratings reflect individual experience.

Vikram P.Noida · 2024

I work as a business analyst at an IT services company. The predictive analytics, data management, and big data subjects were directly applicable. The blockchain module gave me enough understanding for client conversations about DLT implementations. The AI in Business course was a genuine differentiator. JIIT being an IT institute gave the credential credibility at my employer. The gap is brand recognition for MBA specifically.

Liked: Blockchain and Predictive Analytics as standalone subjects are rare in online MBAs under ₹2L. JIIT's tech DNA makes the IT+Analytics combination credible

Disliked: No Coursera or other bundled perks. MUJ at ₹1,80,000 includes Coursera Plus. At the same price, JIIT should offer something

Shruti D.Gurgaon · 2024

The combined IT management + analytics curriculum is the USP. Most online MBAs offer either IT management or business analytics, not both in one spec. The mandatory internship helped me build a portfolio project. The advanced data science tools module introduced Python and R at a management level, not a coding bootcamp level. For IT governance and analytics roles in NCR, the JIIT credential works.

Liked: IT Security and Cyber Law covered DPDP Act and IT Act at a practical level. Advanced Tools for Data Science gave me Python and R basics I use for dashboards

Disliked: The programme could include a certification from a recognisable platform (AWS, Google, IBM). At ₹1,82,000 with zero perks, it is hard to compete with CU at ₹1,65,000 with PwC co-teaching

Amit R.Lucknow · 2023

The curriculum is comprehensive. 9 Sem 3 subjects covering IT security, ERP, e-commerce, data management, predictive analytics, and blockchain is genuine depth. The delivery quality varied by subject. Some faculty were strong, others felt like they were teaching from slides prepared for the campus programme. At ₹1,82,000 with no perks, the value comes from curriculum breadth, not platform experience.

Liked: BPR/ERP module was practical. The combination of ERP understanding with data analytics gives a dual-track capability for IT consulting roles

Disliked: Career support for online MBA is limited. JIIT's placement infrastructure is primarily set up for on-campus BTech and MTech students. Online MBA students need to self-navigate

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Online MBA FAQs

JIIT covers both IT management (IT security, cyber law, BPR/ERP, e-governance) and data analytics (predictive analytics, big data, data science tools, blockchain). Most competitors offer either IT management or analytics, not both. For CIO-track or IT governance roles that require both domains, this combined curriculum is a differentiator.
