About This Specialisation

JIIT's Online MBA in Marketing covers the full marketing spectrum: traditional marketing (consumer behaviour, brand management, sales and distribution, services marketing, IMC) and contemporary digital marketing (digital marketing, omnichannel marketing, AI/ML-powered marketing). The inclusion of AI/ML-powered Marketing as a standalone Semester 4 subject is forward-looking. Most competing marketing MBAs cover AI in marketing as a module within digital marketing, not as a dedicated course.

Semester 3 has 9 subjects including mandatory Internship/OJT and AI in Business. The marketing-specific subjects cover product and brand management, IMC, sales and distribution, consumer behaviour, services marketing, and digital marketing. Semester 4 adds omnichannel marketing (unified online-offline strategy) and AI/ML-powered marketing (personalisation engines, recommendation systems, predictive customer analytics).

The combination of AI in Business (Sem 3 core) plus AI/ML-powered Marketing (Sem 4 spec) gives double AI exposure, making this relevant for marketing professionals targeting MarTech or growth marketing roles.

At ₹1,82,000 all-in with zero-cost EMI, no scholarships, and no bundled perks.

EdifyEdu verifies data independently and takes no commission from any university.

How Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Compares for Marketing

Comparing JIIT Online MBA Marketing against peer programmes:

vs MAHE Online MBA Marketing: MAHE at ₹2,92,000 with NIRF #3 and Coursera Plus. JIIT at ₹1,82,000 saves ₹1,10,000 (40% cheaper). MAHE has the flagship Manipal brand and IoE status. JIIT has AI/ML-powered Marketing and Omnichannel Marketing as standalone Sem 4 subjects that MAHE does not cover. For brand signalling, MAHE wins decisively. For AI-forward marketing curriculum at a lower fee, JIIT competes.

vs Amity Online MBA Marketing: Amity at approximately ₹2,25,000 with NIRF #22 and broader alumni. JIIT at ₹1,82,000 saves ₹43,000 with mandatory internship and AI/ML-powered marketing depth. Amity wins on brand and alumni. JIIT wins on fee and contemporary content.

vs MUJ Online MBA Marketing: MUJ at approximately ₹1,80,000 with Coursera Plus and Manipal brand. Near-identical fee. MUJ has Coursera Plus and brand recognition. JIIT has 9 Sem 3 subjects, mandatory internship, and AI/ML-powered Marketing as a dedicated course. MUJ wins on brand and perks. JIIT wins on curriculum depth.

vs DPU Pune Online MBA Marketing Management: DPU at ₹1,89,400 with NIRF #41 and NAAC A++. JIIT saves ₹7,400 with omnichannel and AI/ML marketing depth. DPU has 7 Sem 3 subjects and stronger NAAC grade. Both are competitive.

Student Reviews — Marketing

Three reviews from JIIT Online MBA Marketing students. Ratings reflect individual experience.

Ravi D.Noida · 2024

I work in digital marketing at an e-commerce company. The digital marketing, consumer behaviour, and AI/ML-powered marketing subjects were directly applicable. The mandatory internship helped me build a case study I use in interviews. At ₹1,82,000 the curriculum is strong for the price. The gap is brand recognition. MAHE at ₹2,92,000 or Amity at ₹2,25,000 carry stronger MBA brand weight, but at 40-60% higher cost.

Liked: AI/ML-powered Marketing in Sem 4 is forward-looking. Most online MBAs don't cover recommendation systems and programmatic advertising at this depth

Disliked: JIIT is known for BTech, not MBA. When I mention JIIT MBA in marketing interviews, I often need to explain the institute's credentials

Neha S.Delhi · 2024

The marketing curriculum has 9 Sem 3 subjects covering brand, IMC, sales, consumer behaviour, services marketing, and digital. Plus Sem 4 adds omnichannel and AI/ML marketing. That is 8 marketing-specific subjects across Sem 3-4 plus AI in Business. The depth is real. The issue is that perks and brand are part of the buying decision, and JIIT offers neither at a price where competitors do.

Liked: Omnichannel Marketing as a standalone subject is rare. Most programmes only cover this as a module within digital marketing

Disliked: No Coursera Plus or any bundled perk. MUJ at ₹1,80,000 gives you Coursera Plus for the same price. That is a real gap

Sanjay K.Gurgaon · 2023

I transitioned from a sales executive to a marketing manager role using this MBA. The curriculum helped, especially consumer behaviour and IMC. The internship requirement was manageable since I used my existing job. The delivery quality was mixed. Some subjects had engaged faculty, others felt like recorded-lecture-and-PDF programmes. At this price, the content is strong, but the experience varies.

Liked: Sales and Distribution Management and Services Marketing were practical for my FMCG distribution background

Disliked: Career services for online MBA are basic. The on-campus placement team focuses on BTech and MTech. Online MBA students need to network independently

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Online MBA FAQs

Yes. AI in Business (Sem 3 core) covers AI fundamentals for managers. AI/ML-powered Marketing (Sem 4 spec-specific) covers personalisation engines, recommendation systems, predictive analytics for marketing, and programmatic advertising. This double AI exposure is uncommon in sub-₹2L online MBAs.

Choose Marketing If... / Consider Alternatives If...

Choose This If

  • You want AI/ML-powered Marketing and Omnichannel Marketing as standalone subjects, not just modules.

  • You target MarTech, growth marketing, or digital marketing roles where AI integration matters.

Consider Alternatives If

  • Brand recognition matters. MAHE (NIRF #3), Amity (NIRF #22), and MUJ have stronger MBA brand positioning.
