About This Specialisation
MAHE's Online MBA in Business Analytics builds analytics skills across multiple business functions. Semester 3 covers data visualization (dashboard design, Tableau/Power BI concepts, storytelling with data), programming with R and Python (data wrangling, statistical computing, scripting for business problems), and database management (SQL, relational databases, data warehousing concepts, ETL basics). Semester 4 adds financial analytics (credit scoring models, portfolio risk analytics, financial data modelling), marketing analytics (campaign attribution, customer segmentation, CLV modelling, A/B testing), and HR analytics (attrition prediction, workforce planning, recruitment funnel metrics).
The cross-functional analytics approach is a curriculum strength. Instead of focusing narrowly on one domain, MAHE covers analytics applications across finance, marketing, and HR. This makes the programme suitable for professionals targeting analytics roles that span business functions.
MAHE holds NIRF #3 University 2025, NAAC A++, and Institution of Eminence status. Coursera Plus is bundled free, which supplements well with Google Data Analytics and IBM Data Science certificates. At ₹2,92,000, the fee is premium but the NIRF #3 credential and cross-functional analytics depth justify evaluation.
Work experience in reputed organisations is required. Fresh graduates can apply with an SOP video.

How Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Compares for Business Analytics
Comparing MAHE Online MBA Business Analytics against peer programmes:
vs MUJ Online MBA Analytics & Data Science: MUJ at approximately ₹1,80,000 on the same platform. MAHE at ₹2,92,000 costs ₹1,12,000 more for the NIRF #3 and IoE brand. Both share similar LMS delivery. Talk to counsellorStudent Reviews — Business Analytics
Three reviews from MAHE Online MBA Business Analytics students. Ratings reflect individual experience.
I chose MAHE for the NIRF #3 credential because my target employers (consulting firms) filter on university rank. The cross-functional analytics approach was the selling point. Financial analytics for credit scoring, marketing analytics for segmentation, HR analytics for attrition, all in one programme. Coursera Plus was genuinely useful. I completed the Google Data Analytics certificate alongside Sem 3. The programming depth could be stronger for complete beginners, though.
Liked: Cross-functional analytics coverage across finance, marketing, and HR. Coursera Plus gave access to Google Data Analytics certificate alongside the MBA
Disliked: R and Python programming module could go deeper. Students with no coding background may struggle with the pace
The analytics curriculum is solid. My concern is purely financial. MUJ offers a similar analytics MBA on the same platform for ₹1,12,000 less. CU adds PwC co-teaching for ₹1,27,000 less. The MAHE brand is strong, but for analytics roles, employers care more about demonstrated skills (GitHub, Kaggle, certifications) than university rank. Unless your employer specifically requires NIRF top-5, consider the alternatives seriously.
Liked: Data Visualization and Marketing Analytics subjects were well-structured. Database Management covered SQL in sufficient practical depth
Disliked: ₹2,92,000 is hard to justify when MUJ offers analytics on the same platform for ₹1,80,000. CU at ₹1,65,000 adds PwC co-teaching
Working in banking analytics, the Financial Analytics and Database Management subjects were immediately applicable. The marketing analytics module on CLV and segmentation expanded my cross-functional understanding. I used the 15% corporate scholarship, which brought costs to around ₹2,48,200. Without that scholarship, I would have chosen CU or MUJ. The LMS experience was adequate but not exceptional. Some lecture videos felt dated.
Liked: Financial Analytics was directly applicable to my BFSI role. NIRF #3 and IoE cleared credential filters at two banks
Disliked: Career services were minimal for analytics placement. LMS video quality varied across subjects
