About This Specialisation
MAHE's Online MBA in Marketing covers both traditional and digital marketing at depth. Semester 3 covers consumer behaviour (decision models, psychographics, cultural influences), digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media strategy, performance marketing), and services marketing with CRM (SERVQUAL, customer lifecycle management, retention strategies). Semester 4 adds sales and distribution management, marketing analytics (campaign ROI, attribution modelling, A/B testing), and integrated marketing communication (media planning, ATL-BTL integration, brand communication).
MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) is a deemed university in Manipal, Karnataka, ranked NIRF #3 University 2025 with an Institution of Eminence tag from the Government of India. NAAC A++ accredited. The Manipal brand carries weight across healthcare, engineering, and management sectors in India and internationally.
Coursera Plus is bundled free with the programme, giving access to 7,000+ courses from Google, IBM, Meta, and top universities. This is a genuine curriculum expansion, not a marketing add-on.
At ₹2,92,000 total (₹73,000 per semester), this is upper-mid range in the Indian online MBA market. MAHE positions on flagship brand weight and IoE tag. Candidates should compare against MUJ (same Manipal group, ₹1,80,000) for fee-value trade-off.

How Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Compares for Marketing
Comparing MAHE Online MBA Marketing against peer programmes:
vs MUJ Online MBA Marketing: MUJ at approximately ₹1,80,000 is from the same Manipal group, runs on the same online platform, and offers a similar LMS experience. MAHE at ₹2,92,000 costs ₹1,12,000 more. MAHE positions on the flagship NIRF #3 University tag and Institution of Eminence status. MUJ positions on fee value. For employers who specifically value the MAHE Manipal flagship brand, the premium may be justified. For employers who treat both as Manipal group degrees, MUJ offers better fee-for-delivery value. Be transparent: MAHE is not a premium product upgrade over MUJ in terms of platform delivery.
vs Amity Online MBA Marketing: Amity at approximately ₹2,25,000 with NIRF #22 has a larger alumni network and broader specialisation variety. MAHE at ₹2,92,000 costs ₹67,000 more but carries NIRF #3 and Institution of Eminence. MAHE includes Coursera Plus free. For pure NIRF rank signalling, MAHE wins decisively.
vs NMIMS Online MBA Marketing Management: NMIMS at approximately ₹1,96,000 has strong Mumbai recruiter networks and longer online MBA heritage. MAHE at ₹2,92,000 costs ₹96,000 more but carries substantially stronger NIRF rank (#3 vs unranked in university category). MAHE includes Coursera Plus.
vs DPU Pune Online MBA Marketing Management: DPU at ₹1,89,400 with NIRF #41 and NAAC A++. MAHE at ₹2,92,000 costs ₹1,02,600 more but carries NIRF #3 and IoE status. DPU includes edX certifications; MAHE includes Coursera Plus.

Talk to counsellorStudent Reviews — Marketing
Three reviews from MAHE Online MBA Marketing students. Ratings reflect individual experience.
I chose MAHE over MUJ specifically for the NIRF #3 brand on my CV. The marketing subjects were solid. Consumer Behaviour and IMC were well-structured. Coursera Plus was genuinely useful for supplementing with Google and Meta certifications. The LMS is functional but not dramatically different from what MUJ offers. If the MAHE brand matters for your employer, the premium is worth it. If not, MUJ gives you similar content at a lower price.
Liked: Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics subjects were current and practical. Coursera Plus gave me access to Google Digital Marketing certificate alongside the MBA
Disliked: At ₹2,92,000 the fee is hard to justify when MUJ offers nearly the same platform experience for ₹1,80,000. The MAHE brand premium needs to translate to better placement support to be worth the difference
I work in hospitality marketing and the CRM, digital marketing, and sales management subjects were directly applicable. The NIRF #3 and IoE tag gave the credential weight during my promotion review. The 15% female learner scholarship reduced my effective fee, which helped justify the premium over other options.
Liked: Services Marketing and CRM subject was directly applicable to my hospitality industry role. The Manipal brand opened doors at companies that filter on university reputation
Disliked: Placement support could be more structured. The career services exist but are not as hands-on as what campus MBA students get. Self-directed networking is still essential
The marketing curriculum is comprehensive but the online delivery quality varies by subject. Some faculty are excellent, others feel like they are reading from slides. Coursera Plus is the genuine value-add. At ₹2,92,000 you need to be clear that you are paying for the MAHE brand, not for a dramatically superior learning experience compared to MUJ or other platforms in the ₹1.8-2.2L range.
Liked: Marketing Analytics covered attribution modelling and A/B testing at a practical level. The Manipal alumni network in South India is genuinely strong
Disliked: Study materials for some modules felt recycled from the campus programme without enough adaptation for online delivery. Some recorded lectures were not engaging

Both run on the same platform with similar LMS experience. MAHE at ₹2,92,000 carries NIRF #3 and Institution of Eminence status. MUJ at approximately ₹1,80,000 offers better fee value. MAHE is not a premium product upgrade in terms of delivery. The difference is brand positioning and credential signalling.
Choose Marketing If... / Consider Alternatives If...
Choose This If
- NIRF #3 University rank and Institution of Eminence tag matter for your employer or career trajectory.
- The Manipal flagship brand (not MUJ) specifically adds value in your industry or geography.
- Coursera Plus bundled free genuinely expands your learning beyond the MBA syllabus.
- You qualify for one of the 8 scholarship categories (up to 40% SAARC/EWC) which reduces the effective fee.
Consider Alternatives If
- →MUJ at ₹1,80,000 offers similar platform delivery at ₹1,12,000 less. If your employer treats both as Manipal group degrees, MUJ is better value.
- →Amity at ₹2,25,000 or NMIMS at ₹1,96,000 offer marketing MBA at lower fees with their own brand networks.
- →You are financing the fee via loan, which disqualifies all scholarships, making the effective cost higher than alternatives.
