About This Specialisation

Most marketing specialisations have drifted toward channels and measurement. This one keeps its weight on the part that is harder to teach and harder to hire for: what a brand stands for and whether that is worth anything.

The subjects are Brand Strategy and Architecture, Consumer Behaviour and Insights, Integrated Marketing Communications, Digital Brand Building, Brand Equity Measurement, and Product and Price Management.

Brand Equity Measurement is the subject that separates this from a general marketing track. Brand work is chronically difficult to defend in a budget meeting, and a measurement framework is the difference between an argument and an opinion.

Product and Price Management is the other practical one. Pricing is the fastest lever on profit in most consumer businesses and it is usually decided by people who have never studied it.

Two things are common to every Chandigarh specialisation and worth pricing separately from the subject list. AI for Managers appears in all of them, so the AI exposure is not unique to the technical tracks. And the programme runs in two tiers, where the higher tier bundles PwC co-taught modules and additional certification. Ask which tier your fee quote covers, because the subject list does not change between them.

Chandigarh University's NAAC A+ accreditation cycle carried a validity date of September 2026, so confirm the current grade at naac.gov.in before you rely on it.

Fees quoted here are indicative and change between intakes. Confirm the current figure, which tier it buys, the early-bird terms and what sits outside the tuition with the university in writing before you pay.

Industries: FMCG, FMCD, D2C brands, retail, pharmaceuticals, financial services, hospitality, and advertising agencies

Entry-level roles: Assistant Brand Manager, Marketing Executive, Consumer Insights Analyst, Digital Marketing Executive, Product Manager (junior)

Where to verify placement claims: ask Chandigarh University for its most recent placement report, in writing, covering your specific programme and mode. Online cohorts are often reported separately from on-campus ones, or not at all. EdifyEdu does not publish employer lists we cannot source, so treat the roles above as the job families this syllabus maps to, not as a record of who has hired from this cohort.

Skills You Develop

You should come out able to define a brand position, keep it consistent across channels that each want to bend it, and show what it earned.

Brand Strategy and Architecture covers positioning, portfolio structure and the decisions about when to extend a brand and when to start a new one. Consumer Behaviour and Insights covers how buying decisions actually get made, and how to run research that tells you something you did not already assume.

Integrated Marketing Communications and Digital Brand Building cover execution across channels, including how a message survives being adapted for each one.

Brand Equity Measurement gives you the defensive tooling: tracking, valuation approaches and the arithmetic that connects brand investment to commercial outcome. Product and Price Management covers proposition design and pricing structure.

How Chandigarh University Compares for Brand Management

Comparing Chandigarh Online MBA Brand Management against peer programmes:

vs NMIMS Online MBA Marketing Management: NMIMS has strong marketing brand with FMCG hiring connections, particularly in Mumbai. CU's dedicated Brand Management specialisation has Brand Equity Measurement and Brand Architecture as standalone subjects that NMIMS Marketing Management does not offer at this depth in online programmes. CU Tier 2 adds PwC Consumer Markets advisory. Fee: CU Rs 1,65,000 Tier 1 vs NMIMS higher fee.

vs Amity Online MBA Marketing: Amity's Marketing programme is well-known. CU's Brand Management specialisation is more focused for candidates specifically targeting brand manager roles, with dedicated consumer behaviour, brand equity, and digital brand building subjects. NIRF Management rank 32 gives CU a ranking advantage.

vs LPU Online MBA Marketing: LPU has NAAC A++ at lower fee. CU's advantage is NIRF Management rank 32, dedicated brand management curriculum depth, PwC Consumer Markets advisory (Tier 2), and Harvard Business Publishing certificate. For FMCG brand manager roles where credentials are screened, CU's profile is stronger.
