About This Specialisation
Sharda University, Greater Noida offers an Online MBA with Data Science and Analytics specialisation. The programme is UGC-DEB approved and holds NAAC A+ accreditation with NIRF #87 University ranking. WES recognised for international credential evaluation.
The Data Science and Analytics specialisation blends business management with technical data skills. Sem 3-4 subjects cover Python, SQL, statistical methods, data visualization, predictive analytics using machine learning, and web and social media analytics. The common MBA core in Sem 1-2 builds the management foundation. Sem 3 also includes Entrepreneurship and Startup Ideation, Production and Operations Management, and a Cross Functional Elective. Sem 4 includes Strategic Management and a Research Project.
At ₹1,54,500 all-in, Sharda sits in the mid-tier price bracket. It is cheaper than Amity (₹2,25,000) and NMIMS (₹1,96,000+) but more expensive than NIU (₹97,600) and Galgotias (₹86,400). The trade-off is clear: Sharda's NAAC A+ and NIRF rank provide stronger accreditation backing than budget options, but its brand recognition in the online MBA space is still developing compared to Amity or NMIMS.
EMI options are available through financing partners. Zero-cost EMI may not be guaranteed. Confirm interest structure with admissions.

How Sharda University Compares for Data Science and Analytics
Comparing Sharda Online MBA Data Science and Analytics against peer programmes:
vs Galgotias Online MBA Business Analytics (₹86,400): Galgotias is ₹68,100 cheaper with AI and Python subjects plus a Master Thesis component. Sharda adds SQL for Data Science and Web/Social Media Analytics as dedicated subjects. Both are NCR-based with NAAC A+. Budget is the primary differentiator.
vs NIU Online MBA Business Analytics (₹97,600): NIU covers Python, Blockchain, and broader analytics at ₹56,900 less. Sharda includes Predictive Analytics using Machine Learning and Statistical Methods as standalone subjects. NIU wins on price. Sharda wins on ML and statistics depth.
vs Amity Online MBA Business Analytics (₹2,25,000): Amity at NIRF #22 with 18 specialisations and a larger alumni network costs ₹70,500 more. Amity wins on brand recognition and hiring network. Sharda wins on fee for candidates who prioritise NAAC A+ over brand premium.
vs NMIMS Online MBA (₹1,96,000-₹2,20,000): NMIMS carries a legacy Mumbai business school brand. At ₹40,000-₹65,000 more than Sharda, the brand premium is significant for corporate analytics hiring. Sharda is a mid-tier alternative for NCR-based professionals.
vs JIIT Online MBA (₹1,82,000): JIIT offers mandatory internship and AI as a core subject across all specs. At ₹27,500 more than Sharda, JIIT's internship component adds practical value. Sharda wins on fee. JIIT wins on applied learning structure.

Talk to counsellorStudent Reviews — Data Science and Analytics
Three reviews from Sharda Online MBA Data Science and Analytics students. Ratings reflect individual experience.
The data science curriculum is solid for an MBA programme. Python, SQL, and ML subjects gave me a usable skill set alongside the management core. At ₹1,54,500 the fee is fair, though Galgotias at ₹86,400 offers similar analytics depth for less. Sharda's NIRF rank and NAAC A+ justified the premium for me. Career services exist but are limited for online students.
Liked: Python and SQL subjects were practical with hands-on assignments. The ML subject in Sem 4 covered real business use cases, not just theory
Disliked: No free tool access (Tableau, cloud credits). You need to arrange your own software for the visualization subject
I chose Sharda over NIU because of the NIRF ranking and the ML subject. The Statistical Methods and Predictive Analytics subjects were directly useful for my analytics role at a consulting firm. The Web and Social Media Analytics subject was lighter than I expected. At ₹1,54,500 with no scholarships, the value is in the curriculum and accreditation, not extras.
Liked: Statistical Methods for Decision Making was the strongest subject. It connected statistical concepts to business decisions rather than staying abstract
Disliked: Brand recognition is a gap. In job interviews, I had to explain Sharda's online MBA credibility more than expected
The data science subjects cover the right topics, but the depth depends on your self-study effort. Python and SQL assignments were structured well. The ML subject introduced key algorithms but you need supplementary learning for job-ready skills. At this price point with NAAC A+ and NIRF rank, Sharda is a reasonable mid-tier choice. Confirm EMI interest terms before committing.
Liked: EMI at ₹7,375/month made the fee manageable. NAAC A+ and NIRF rank gave me confidence in the degree's validity
Disliked: EMI was not zero-cost. The financing partner charged interest, and this was not made clear during the admission process
