About This Specialisation
Sharda University offers Strategic Human Resource Management as a separate specialisation alongside regular HRM. This is rare in the online MBA market. Most universities offer a single HR spec. Sharda splits HR into two tracks: operational HRM (talent acquisition, compensation, industrial relations) and strategic HRM (HR leadership, HR planning and analytics, HRIS systems, change management).
The Strategic HRM spec has a different Sem 3-4 structure from regular HRM. Sem 3 replaces the standard common subjects (Entrepreneurship, Production/Operations) with Advanced HR Systems and HR Accounting/HRIS. It includes a Live Industry Project instead of the Cross Functional Elective. Sem 4 replaces Strategic Management with Strategic HR Leadership and adds a Capstone Project alongside the spec subjects. This double project structure (Live Industry Project in Sem 3 + Capstone in Sem 4) provides more experiential depth than any competing online HR MBA.
Sharda University, Greater Noida holds NAAC A+ and NIRF #87 University rank. UGC-DEB approved. At ₹1,54,500 all-in, it is mid-tier. No scholarships and no bundled perks.
EMI options are available through financing partners. Zero-cost EMI may not be guaranteed. Confirm interest structure with admissions.
EdifyEdu verifies data independently and takes no commission from any university.

How Sharda University Compares for Strategic Human Resource Management
Comparing Sharda Online MBA Strategic HRM against peer programmes:
No direct peer with separate Strategic HRM spec: Most online MBA programmes offer a single HR spec. Sharda is one of the only universities that separates Strategic HRM from regular HRM, with different curriculum, Live Industry Project (instead of Cross Functional Elective), and Capstone Project (instead of Research Project). This dual-track HR offering is a genuine differentiator.
vs Amity Online MBA HRM: Amity at approximately ₹2,25,000 with NIRF #22 has a single HR spec covering operational HR broadly. Sharda Strategic HRM at ₹1,54,500 is ₹70,500 cheaper with HRIS, HR Analytics, and HR Leadership as dedicated subjects. Amity wins on brand and alumni network. Sharda wins on fee and strategic HR depth.
vs DPU Pune Online MBA HRM: DPU at ₹1,89,400 with NIRF #41 and NAAC A++ has 7 Sem 3 HR subjects including labour laws and DEI depth. Sharda Strategic HRM at ₹1,54,500 has HRIS, HR Accounting, and Live Industry Project. DPU wins on accreditation and HR breadth. Sharda wins on fee and strategic HR focus.
vs JIIT Online MBA HRM: JIIT at ₹1,82,000 with mandatory internship and DEI as standalone subject. Sharda at ₹1,54,500 saves ₹27,500 with HRIS and HR Analytics depth. JIIT wins on mandatory internship. Sharda wins on fee and strategic HR positioning.
vs Sharda's own regular HRM spec: Regular HRM covers talent acquisition, International HRM, performance management, HR analytics, IR and labour laws, and OD. Strategic HRM covers Advanced HR Systems, HRIS, HR Leadership, Strategic HR Planning, and change management. Choose regular HRM for operational HR roles. Choose Strategic HRM for CHRO-track and HR transformation roles.

Talk to counsellorStudent Reviews — Strategic Human Resource Management
Three reviews from Sharda Online MBA Strategic HRM students. Ratings reflect individual experience.
I chose Sharda Strategic HRM specifically because I wanted the CHRO-track curriculum, not generic HR. The Advanced HR Systems, HRIS, and Strategic HR Planning subjects are directly relevant to my HR technology consulting work. The Live Industry Project in Sem 3 was valuable. At ₹1,54,500 the fee is mid-tier. The limitation is brand recognition. Sharda is known in NCR but not nationally for online MBA.
Liked: Strategic HRM as a separate spec from regular HRM is exactly what I needed. The HRIS and HR Analytics subjects are directly applicable to my HR tech role
Disliked: No scholarships and no perks. At ₹1,54,500, NIU at ₹97,600 is significantly cheaper with a broader spec list
The Strategic HRM curriculum is the strong point. Leadership and Change Management, International HRM, and HR Analytics are all subjects I use in my HRBP role at an IT company. The double project structure (Live Industry Project + Capstone) gave me two portfolio pieces for interviews. The EMI interest structure was a disappointment. Confirm this before enrolling.
Liked: Live Industry Project + Capstone Project gives double project depth. Most competing programmes have only one project across 2 years
Disliked: EMI was not zero-cost in my case. The financing partner charged interest, which was not clearly communicated at admission
The curriculum differentiates this from generic HR MBAs. HR Accounting, HRIS, and Strategic HR Planning are subjects that regular HR specs don't cover. The Live Industry Project was logistically manageable since I aligned it with my company. At ₹1,54,500 with no perks and no scholarships, the value comes from curriculum specificity rather than brand or extras.
Liked: HR Accounting and HRIS subject covered HR cost measurement at a depth I haven't seen in other online HR MBAs
Disliked: Career services for online students are not well-structured. The placement team is primarily set up for campus students

Choose Strategic Human Resource Management If... / Consider Alternatives If...
Choose This If

- Your target is CHRO-track, HR transformation, or HR consulting rather than operational HR.
- ₹1,54,500 all-in with EMI options fits your budget for strategic HR depth.
Consider Alternatives If

- →EMI interest rate may not be zero-cost. Confirm before committing.
