The Marketing specialisation covers six dedicated subjects across Sem 3-4: Consumer Behavior, Sales and Distribution Management, International Marketing in Sem 3, and Service Marketing and CRM, Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics, Advertising and Brand Management in Sem 4. Common subjects include Entrepreneurship and Startup Ideation, Production and Operations Management, Cross Functional Elective (Sem 3), Strategic Management, and Research Project (Sem 4).

How Sharda University Compares for Marketing

Comparing Sharda Online MBA Marketing against peer programmes:

vs NIU Online MBA Marketing (₹97,600): NIU is ₹56,900 cheaper with NAAC A+ and broader marketing subject coverage. Sharda has NIRF #87 University 2025 ranking. NIU lacks NIRF ranking. For budget-conscious marketing professionals, NIU offers comparable depth at lower cost.

vs Galgotias Online MBA Marketing (₹86,400): Galgotias is ₹68,100 cheaper with a Master Thesis component. Both are NCR-based with NAAC A+. Galgotias lacks NIRF ranking. Sharda wins on NIRF rank. Galgotias wins on fee.

vs Amity Online MBA Marketing (₹2,25,000): Amity at NIRF #22 with 18 specialisations and a large alumni network costs ₹70,500 more. For FMCG and agency hiring where brand premium drives shortlisting, Amity justifies the price. Sharda is a mid-tier alternative.

vs NMIMS Online MBA Marketing (₹1,96,000-₹2,20,000): NMIMS has a legacy Mumbai business school brand with strong FMCG alumni connections. At ₹40,000-₹65,000 more than Sharda, the brand premium is real for brand management and product marketing roles. Sharda is a cost-effective NCR alternative.

vs DPU Online MBA Marketing (₹1,89,400): DPU at NIRF #41 with NAAC A++ and edX partnership costs ₹34,900 more. DPU has stronger western India brand. Sharda wins on fee for NCR-based professionals.

vs JIIT Online MBA Marketing (₹1,82,000): JIIT at ₹27,500 more offers mandatory internship and AI as a core subject. JIIT wins on applied learning. Sharda wins on fee.

Student Reviews — Marketing

Three reviews from Sharda Online MBA Marketing students. Ratings reflect individual experience.

Riya S.Delhi · 2024

The marketing curriculum covers both traditional and digital well. Consumer Behavior and Brand Management gave me the strategic framework. Digital Marketing and Analytics gave me the execution skills. At ₹1,54,500, the fee is reasonable for NAAC A+ and NIRF rank. The limitation is brand recognition at top FMCG companies. For digital marketing and D2C roles, the degree works fine.

Liked: Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics was the most practical subject. The SEO/SEM and Google Analytics coverage was directly applicable to my digital marketing role

Disliked: Brand recognition is a limitation. At FMCG interviews, Sharda's online MBA did not carry the same weight as Amity or NMIMS

Sahil M.Noida · 2024

I work in FMCG sales and needed an MBA to move to a brand management track. Sales and Distribution, Consumer Behavior, and Brand Management covered the right topics. International Marketing was useful since my company exports. At ₹1,54,500 with no scholarships, the value comes from the curriculum and accreditation. Career services for online students are minimal.

Liked: Sales and Distribution Management was excellent. The territory planning and distributor management content was directly useful for my FMCG sales role

Disliked: No scholarships and no perks. Galgotias at ₹86,400 offers marketing at nearly half the cost with NAAC A+

Pooja L.Gurgaon · 2023

The marketing spec is standard but well-structured. Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, and CRM are the strongest subjects. Advertising and Brand Management was theory-heavy. At ₹1,54,500, the fee sits between budget options (NIU, Galgotias) and premium ones (Amity, NMIMS). The trade-off is clear. Confirm EMI terms before committing.

Liked: Service Marketing and CRM subject covered customer lifecycle management in a way I could apply to my customer success role. NAAC A+ and NIRF rank validated the degree

Disliked: EMI charged interest through the financing partner. This was not disclosed clearly during the admission process
